Our Mission
Our mission is to create opportunities for the underserved community in San Joaquin County. We support higher education opportunities and provide high-level athletic training, sound mentoring, and in-depth tutoring programs. We want students to succeed with the same tools and support as their counterparts in the more affluent areas of the county. Helping youth reach this goal allows them to meet and exceed the standard goals that are set, without feeling the pinch of the education gap that plagues so many families today.

Pat LLoyd
Singer, Pianist, Philanthropist
Patricia Lloyd started playing piano and singing at the age of 5. At age 9, her mother, who was an opera singer, encouraged her to accompany a soloist without rehearsing, and that is when her musical career began.

In the early 1960’s, she accompanied her husband, Jimmy Smith, to Germany, and auditioned for a band which was eventually called Pat Smith and the Rhythm Kings. She toured Germany with the band for 1 ½ years, and when she returned to the states, she played for several churches in Stockton, California. She was the minister of music at Emmanuel Baptist Church for 37 years before retiring in October 2005. She then joined First Baptist Church, singing in the choir, and directed the music department at Unity Community Christian Baptist Church.

As a mother of 7, with 13 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren, Patricia knew she wanted to make an impact on youth and education. Using her musical talents, she began by developing a musical to fund a scholarship for one single student. Gradually, she began adding more students to the program, distributing the profits to further their education. She eventually developed the Patricia Lloyd Scholarship Concert Association (PLSCA) to further her fundraising momentum for youth, helping 70+ students fuel their educational endeavors.
In 2018, PLSCA joined forces with Prove It Athletics, a local youth sports training program spearheaded by Patricia's son, Ray Guyton, to form the Limitless Youth Project and expand reach across communities of underserved youth.
Raymond Guyton
Raymond Guyton was born to be a coach. He has a background as an athlete, a frequent team captain, and a mentor. He loves working with youth and young adults and lives to help others. Nothing brings him more satisfaction. And he’s been doing it for 30 years.
Ray was born in Stockton, California. He was raised by a single mom who was a locomotive engineer. Despite her career, she saw to it that he had plenty of constructive activities to participate in. At the age of nine, he started playing Little League–first Montezuma, next Pacific, and then Canal Babe Ruth. He began playing football for the North Stockton Bengals when he was ten. That continued up until high school when a new world of sports opened up. Along with baseball and football, he added basketball and track (not to mention drama, public speaking, and debate, which are different sports altogether). He was always voted team captain, which he felt was the highest honor.
After graduating from high school, Raymond attended Delta College where he played football and also threw the javelin. Unfortunately, he had to quit his sophomore year due to a shoulder injury. It was yet another experience as an athlete, albeit an ill-fated one. Yet it did not end his passion for sports. He soon branched out and became a coach for various teams and sports. He coached high school, especially travel ball, when his son played baseball, basketball, and football. Then he coached softball when his two daughters began playing. Ray founded Prove It Athletics. He’d go into the projects and pick up kids—up to 40 of them—and feed them and take them to college and professional sports games. He helped host all-star games and slam dunk contests to give kids a chance to be seen by scouts. Many of these kids ended up being recruited and doing well in college, scholastically as well as athletically.
Along with the Patricia Lloyd Music Ministries, he formed the Limitless Youth Project—helping students go to college with scholarships, and also sports mentorships. They now have a school with indoor training in Stockton, CA
